The weeks just prior to the start of American football season had me a bit concerned. I wasn't nearly as amped for college football and the NFL to begin as I normally am. Not sure why, maybe I just had a lot going on. Anyway, now that they're both in full swing, my level of anticipation for the weekends has increased exponentially.
A few noteworthy games:
Of course we've got the USC and OSU game on Saturday at 8pm. But who really cares about that one? Hopefully they end in a 0-0 tie and both squads somehow fall out of the top 25.
The big games this weekend, aren't even this weekend. We've got the big Monday night game which features my Birds taking on the cowgirls. Should be a great game. I think some people are underestimating just how good the Eagles could be this year... I'm pumped.
The next Wednesday I'll be headed out to Colorado to watch the Mountaineers take on, duh, Colorado. Hopefully the 'Eers can redeem themselves with a nice stomping of the Buffaloes. Make sure you tune in, the games on Thursday night at 8:30 on ESPN.
