This is a sad day... sad, sad day.
It's Friday night, and I'm chillin' by myself, kicking back a few brews, waiting for the clock to strike 1. I think that was the first Friday in a real long time that I actually did nothing, and loved every second of it. Some FIFA was played, some tv watched and the internet was surfed (Whipahhh!!! Bahhh!!! Pitted, so pitted.) all while sipping on some Bud heavies all by my lonesome.
I know all of you know why I was doing this right? Of course you do... In honor of Woot's birthday.
Thanks to the Strine, I was well aware of the fact that when the clock struck 1, there would be a Bag of Crap (BOC) for sale.
For those of you who don't know what a BOC is, you need to hit up woot! or just call me up and ask me about it, and I'll gladly go on a five minute rant about the awesomeness that is, Woot.
Long story short, I got 3 (that's right t-h-r-e-e) Bags of Crap! In a mere two weeks, I will know the contents of these bags, and will obviously share the results with all of you via this blog. I can't freaking wait. It's my first BOC, and I'm ecstatic about it.
This is not why it's a sad, sad day.
On Saturday I went to the DC United game to watch them lose to Chivas. WTF Moreno... 20 in a row and then that!!! Come on now! Anyways, it was a great time. Got down there a few hours before the game, did some grilling, some chilling and once again sipped on some Bud... both leaded and unleaded.
Sunday involved some poolage, some mexican food, a little mall wandering and an exhausted Esteban.
Now to the bad news...
My most frequently consumed beer, Budweiser, is no longer American owned!!! This is seriously a shame. I'm distraught, and I'm not joking. I knew that they were looking at doing a hostile takeover, but I held out hope that it wouldn't go down like that... prayer answered; Except they stinking sold it, punks... rich punks.
Now I don't want to buy it, but I still want to drink it. This sucks. It's not like I can easily replace Bud either. It really does go with everything. Don't get me wrong, I in no means consider it to be a "good" beer, but I really do enjoy drinking it. Now what am I supposed to do, drink Miller products... ha, not a chance.
Looks like I might be biting the silver bullet for a while, until I make up my mind as to whether or not I'm going to purchase Bud products any longer. What a pain... I didn't need this kind of strife in my life... Argh!$%&!
ps... sorry for not posting in a while, I got lazy. Mike, you can stop yelling at me, and the game wasn't the same w/o you clowns. Although, no grills were destroyed in the post game festivities.
